The Rum River East, Rum River North, and Rum River South Education Programs are a part of continuum of services for youth within the Rum River Special Education Cooperative (RRSEC) with significant behavioral needs. The programs are operated through joint power agreements between the Rum River Special Education Cooperative and the Member Districts.
Education Program Goal
All Rum River Education Programs work to promote a learning environment that encourages respect and responsibility for learning and actions, which creates a safe and positive environment for all.
Education Program Purpose
Case managers and support staff in the Education Programs seek to stabilize the student's behavior and build the skills they will need for reintegration back into his/her home district. If the student makes sufficient progress in the areas of behavioral self control as well as academic and social progress, transition for partial day reintegration can begin. Criteria for reintegration is established by the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team.
