The Rum River

The Rum River finds its source from Mille Lacs Lake, the largest lake in central Minnesota. It proceeds to meander through the center of our state before dumping into the Mighty Mississippi. The communities that we serve are connected by this life giving resource. This ribbon of fresh water also gives us our name.

Special Education

Special Education has developed into a very important part of the profession of educating students. The desire to mainstream students of all abilities has brought life to schools. It has also brought a challenge to truly reach students where they are. Here at RRSEC, we strive to meet that challenge by working with Parents and Member Districts.

Cooperative

A cooperative is defined as an entity involving mutual assistance in working toward a common goal. When you combine our Member Districts, itinerant staff, and our Education Programs (East, South and North), you really start to see a group of people who work toward the common goal of reaching each student.
